Jasmine Mathis is the proud dean of the Citizenship & Science Academy of Rochester. Mrs. Mathis is entering her seventh school year with SANY. She served in education for two years before coming to SANY. She also worked as a youth and community advocate for more than ten years.
Mrs. Mathis earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master of Education in Special Education, a Master of Education in Educational Administration, and a New York State Teaching Certification. She won an Exceptional Educator Award in 2015 at Knox County Schools.
Mrs. Mathis is married and has one child. She enjoys reading and leading the dance ministry at church. She also enjoys serving alongside her husband in church ministry, striving to help support others and providing them with both opportunities and resources needed to meet their needs. Mrs. Mathis enjoys learning about her history and educating others on making informed decisions in their voting practices. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
