Dawn Burns, UAS ES Operations Manager

Dawn Burns is the Operations Manager of Utica Academy of Science Elementary School. Mrs. Burns earned a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from Penn State University; Elementary Education (K-6) Teaching Certification from King's College, and a Masters of Education in Curriculum & Instruction (concentration in STEM) from King's College. She joined the SANY family as the Math Intervention Coordinator in 2021, and in the spring of 2023 became the Operations Manager. Prior to working for SANY, Mrs. Burns was a teacher & STEAM Coordinator at St. Nicholas-St. Mary's School in Wilkes-Barre, PA from 2012-2021 and the Director of Religious Education at St. Bellarmine Parish Hanover Township, PA from 2014-2018.

Mrs. Burns is married with three kids. She enjoys kayaking, hiking, traveling, reading, curling, and watching football. Her favorite colors are teal and purple. Her favorite quote is "If you're always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be” by Maya Angelou.
