Meghan Miller is the proud Dean of Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School. Mrs. Miller started at SANY in 2011 when the Elementary School opened. She became Dean in 2019. Previously, she was a Summer School Coordinator, State Testing Coordinator, Academic Coach, 1st, 3rd, and 4th-grade teacher, and Reading-intervention instructor
Mrs. Miller earned a Master of Arts in Building and District Level Administration from Mercy College, a Master of Arts in Literacy Education from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Childhood Education from Elmira College. Professional educator licenses include Childhood Education, grades 1 through 6; Early Childhood Education, birth through grade 2; and Literacy Education, birth through grade 6. Her initial certification was in Building Administration. Mrs. Miller was a Member of Phi Delta Kappa in recognition of 4.0 GPA upon graduation from Mercy college in May 2022.
Mrs. Miller is married and has two children. She enjoys spending time with her children, who are also SANY scholars, reading, crafting, and playing games with friends. Her favorite quote is, "Let us sacrifice our today so that children can have a better tomorrow," by A.P.J. Abul Kalam. She loves the color purple, and her favorite number is 33.
