Jennifer Kolbasook is the proud Dean of Syracuse Academy of Science Middle School. Ms.Kolbasook was hired as a 5th and 6th grade English teacher in 2011. Throughout her career at SANY, she has held roles as a 6th grade Science teacher, Grade Chair, Department Head, State Testing Coordinator, and Academic Coach. Before starting at SANY, Ms. Kolbasook had student teaching placements at Porter Elementary and Central Square Intermediate School.
She earned Undergraduate and Masters Degrees from SUNY Cortland. Her Bachelor's Degree is in Childhood Education (1 - 6) and a Master's in Literacy (Birth - 6).
Ms. Kolbasook’s hobbies and interests outside of school include DIY projects at her house, and spending time with family and her two dogs. Her favorite quote is “It's okay to not know, but it's not okay to not try.” She loves the color pink and her favorite number is three.
