The Class of 2026 has Left a Lasting Mark on Syracuse History

History came to life through SANY students' work. In collaboration with the Pomeroy Foundation, Syracuse Academy of Science High School history teacher Mr. Dwyer and a dedicated group of students researched the life and legacy of abolitionist Jermain Loguen, leading to the installation of an official historical marker at Loguen Park in Syracuse. This project gave our students the opportunity to preserve an important piece of local history while making a lasting impact on their community. We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 for helping ensure Jermain Loguen's story will continue to educate and inspire future generations.
